BOYS BASKETBALL

Coaches: Head Coach Mike Hudson; Assistant Varsity Coaches: Bri Blue and Austin Buck; JV Head Coach: Rashad Andrews; JV Assistants: Don Miller and Terricka Franklin; Freshman Head Coach: Hector Navarro
Team News: Under Coach Hudson's leadership, the Yellowjackets put together an impressive campaign this winter, finishing with a 17-16 overall record and securing second place in the WACC League with a strong 7-3 conference showing. The team's determination and skill propelled them deep into both the NCS and CIF State Regional tournaments, reaching the semifinals in both prestigious competitions. Standout performances throughout the season earned Kavi Jivan and Donte Joseph well-deserved First Team ALL LEAGUE honors, highlighting their contributions to the team's success.
GIRLS BASKETBALL

Coaches: Head Coach Reggie Figgs; Assistants: Vince Trahan and Demetrius Nelson; JV Head Coach: Dajuan Alexander
Team News: Our Girl's Team had a great season, tied for third in the WAAC league. Giselle Lopez earned All-League honors as well as Dalasia McDonald and Daizy Gonzalez who received Second-Team honors. Off the court, the team bonded through memorable experiences, including attending a Cal Women's Basketball game vs new ACC rival North Carolina.
BOYS SOCCER

Coaches: Head Coach Andre Hebert; Assistant Coach Blaise Curet; JV Head Coach: Mark Lewis; JV Assistant: Griffin Banks; Freshman Head Coach: Loquen Jones
Team News: The Boy's Varsity reclaimed the WACC League title this year with an impressive 17-3-1 season record. Six players were first team all-league, 4 were second team and 2 received honorable mention. Oliver Adams was League Player of the Year.
GIRLS SOCCER

Coaches: Head Coach John Tamrat; Assistant: Nasos Eleftheriadis; JV Head: Rey Nagaoka; JV Assistant: Cailin Bloom; Co-HC Frosh: Ari Manrique; Goalkeeper coach: Teagan Wy
Team News: The Girl's Soccer Program demonstrated remarkable strength across all levels this season. The freshman squad delivered a perfect season, remaining undefeated with an outstanding 16-0-2 record that showcased the promising future of Berkeley soccer. At the JV level, the team displayed impressive development and resilience throughout their campaign, finishing with a dominant 8-2 league record. The varsity squad, despite facing challenging competition, secured second place in league play with a 4-2-4 conference record (7-9-6 overall) and thrilled fans with an exciting NCS playoff run. Their postseason journey featured a satisfying first-round victory against local rivals Albany before the team was ultimately eliminated in a hard-fought quarterfinal match.Beyond our success on the field, 93% of our players have been awarded Scholar Athletes/President List recipients for their achievements in the classroom. We focused on building a well-rounded program by emphasizing team culture, strength training, and community service: Community Engagement: We volunteered at the Alameda Food Bank, packing a total of 32,701 lbs of food. We introduced Divine Time to work with our players, helping them develop mental resilience and focus. For the first time, we implemented an in-season weight room program across all teams, which has resulted in a significant reduction in injuries and improved overall performance.
WRESTLING

Coaches: Head Coach Ben Nathan; Co-HC: Dash Allen
Team News: Both the boys and girls teams were the largest they have ever been. More than 20 wrestlers earned individual medals at tournaments. 1 NCS Placer (Alex Herbelin, Girls 135 lbs, 8th place), 4 NCS Qualifiers for Boys (Charlie Gittelsohn, Seigo Lee, Ray Mani, Ezra Valenzuela), 6 NCS Participants for Girls (Ava Polaco, Eloise Thomas, Rian Salomon, Victoria Fierro Ocampo, Alex Herbelin, Iona Hall), 1 Conference Champion (Ava Polaco, Girls 100 lbs).
