This year, the Berkeley Athletic Fund awarded its first-ever Senior Scholarships to 12 outstanding student-athletes. Four of those scholarships were made possible through memorial gifts honoring two remarkable Berkeley High student-athlete alumni - Anthony Lee Franklin and Cebron "Chief" Russ - with two scholarships awarded in each of their names. The Berkeley Athletic Fund (BAF) has established a scholarship program to recognize and support graduating student-athletes who have demonstrated excellence, commitment, and resilience throughout their time at Berkeley High School. Each year, BAF will award four (4) scholarships of $500+ each to graduating seniors - with one recipient from the men’s program and one from the women’s program in each category (for a total of eight awards).
